DPA CORE 4088 Beige Directional Headset Microphone

Description

DPA CORE series implements new technology within existing DPA capsules, to provide a more defined sound by minimising distortion and expanding the dynamic range. Although originally designed for use with wireless systems in theatre, television and close-positioned instrument applications, the omnidirectional capsules also use ‘hermetic sealing’ and a ‘nano-coating’ to provide an IP rating of 58 – particularly relevant to on-field sports, where moisture from the body or atmosphere are unavoidable.

The acoustic response of the microphone is selected by the choice of two ‘protection grids’ supplied with each microphone. The short grid gives a 3dB soft boost at 8-20kHz and is intended to be used when the microphone is mounted on the performer’s head. The long grid gives a 10dB boost at 12kHz, intended for chest placement. The grids can be detached from the microphone and cleaned of sweat, make-up etc. with alcohol.

The microphones are fitted with cable terminated in a ‘MicroDot’ connector. A range of adapters for different wireless transmitters and direct cable connection is available. A range of fixing clips (not included) are also available.
